18 years of age required due to Clinical/Field agreements.
Prospective EMT students are required to have, and keep active, basic life support provider status throughout the EMT program. If your card does not state “BLS Provider,” it will not be accepted. Acceptable certification institutions include the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and the Military Training Network. Students may also enroll in EMS 041 – Basic Life Support Provider at VVC.
