Students meeting the requirements for the Pharmacy Principles Certificate of Completion will be proficient in pharmaceutical calculations, dosage calculations, special medical and business math calculations. Students will demonstrate household, and metric conversions commonly related in pharmacy practice. Students will be able to explain roles, duties, responsibilities, and differences of a pharmacy team. This includes California State and Federal laws governing pharmacy practice and regulations. Persons with these skills can qualify for employment both as a pharmacy clerk and a technician. This Certificate of Completion prepares students for the pharmacy calculations and law portion for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE).
