Manufacturing and Logistics courses are designed with industry guidance to prepare students to enter the workforce of Manufacturing and Logistics. Programs consist of relevant lectures, discussions, assessments, and hands-on lab opportunities. Topics range from Industry Safety, Electric & Internal Combustion-Forklift Operation, Mechanical & Electrical-Industrial Maintenance, and more. Students will also obtain information related to registered apprenticeships and employment opportunities.

Upon completion of this program, students should be able to:
- Students completing this certificate will be prepared to enter the workforce as a Class I, II, or III certified forklift operator upon completing the course and passing the exam.
- Students completing this certificate will be prepared to enter the workforce as a Class IV and V certified forklift operator upon completing the course and passing the exam.
Manufacturing and Logistics Courses
MNLO 010 Forklift Operator (0.0 Units)
The goal of this course is to communicate the essential skills and knowledge of industrial power truck safety, in order to reduce and minimize the potential for forklift and material handling accidents. The course will cover the O.S.H.A. forklift safety rules, instructional videos, inspection procedures, and a written exam. This course will meet the OSHA required 8 hours of in-person instruction, with the additional hours held online. Two core classes are required to complete a Forklift Operator Certification. Forklift Lecture 010, and concurrent Forklift Lab 020, and/or Lab 030. Labs will cover 5 different classes of powered industrial vehicles.

MNLO 020 Forklift Operator Lab/Electric (0.0 Units)
The goal of this course is to communicate the essential hands-on skills and knowledge of a Class I electric motor rider industrial power truck operation, Class II Electric motor narrow isle trucks, and Class III Electric motor hand trucks or hand/rider trucks, in order to reduce and minimize the potential for forklift and material handling accidents. The course will cover the O.S.H.A. forklift operating rules, operational videos, inspection procedures, and a practical exam. This course will meet the OSHA required 8 hours of in-person instruction.

MNLO 028A Forklift Recertification Part I (0.0 Units)
This forklift re-certification course is part 1 of a 2-part sequence (MNLO 028A/ MNLO 028B). This course is intended for experienced material handling, lift truck, and forklift operators. These combined courses will meet the OSHA requirements for 3-year re-certification of training to meet compliance of CCR-3668.Student must possess a current lift truck operator certification. Students must obtain faculty approval of prior lift truck operation experience.
Recommended Preparation: Student must possess a current lift truck operator certification. Students who do not have prior experience as forklift operators should take MNLO 010. OR Students must obtain faculty approval of prior lift truck operation experience.
